I guess since we have different methods of doing things the results would come out much differently. I like to keep my life relatively simple. I have plenty of time to fool around with my car and I like doing all the work myself. I know it'll take much longer doing it myself because I have to learn in the process, but I like gaining that knowledge. About the parts, I wouldn't buy new parts, because Nissan charges so much for new parts. If I was swapping a TT engine into a 10 year old NA, I'd see no problems using used parts for things like intercoolers, piping, manifolds, pistons etc. The only parts I would buy new are the parts that physically wear, such as bearings, turbos, rubber hoses, piston rings, things that degrade over time. By sitting down and figuring out what is necessary and what is not, I save myself a lot of money.
